Tutoring Club
Is the Lord calling you to serve Him but you’re not sure where he’s calling you to serve?
If you love children, Immanuel’s Tutoring Club may be the place God is calling you. Our Tutoring Club is an outreach ministry to children in grades 1-5 in our public schools.
Tutors work one-on-one with students on Thursday evenings during the school year. Our evenings begin in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 with a short bible story time. Tutors then help their students with homework. We provide any supplies that are needed as well as educational games and books. We break for prayer and a snack, resume tutoring and end our evenings with prayer at 7:30.
Tutors have the opportunity to not only help the students academically but more importantly to pray for and with them and to tell them how much Jesus loves them and their families. Any age tutors are welcome, from high school on up.
We will be starting our 5th year with the Tutoring Club and our tutors have not only been a blessing to the students and their families, but they in turn have been blessed by the students.
