BACKGROUND

Since its beginnings around 2011, our satellite location in northern Boone County has served our neigbors by sharing God's love in action.  Previously located at Countryside Mall in Poplar Grove, we were able to move to our new site, the former Timberlane Village Hall, in 2022.  Here at this new base of operations, we seek to continue serving our neighbors by:

  • providing a connection and gathering place for our community
  • offering an approchable, accessible time for connecting with God in Christ in worship and disicpleship

SERVICE & OUTREACH

As with Immanuel's Belize Mission, our theme is "The Church has left the building." We are in the community in a number of ways.

  • We have Neighborhood Ministry Teams. Thanks to a grant from the Northern Illinois District we are able to assist single moms, widows, distressed families with help fixing things around their homes.
  • Our building continues to serve as a gathering place for HOAs, village meetings, and other neighborhood functions.  If you'd like to know more, please contact our main campus Church Office (815-544-8058).

WORSHIP

Worship at North is a casual, conversational, family experience.

  • We gather for worship at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays, with something for both children and adults
  • Holy Communion being celebrated on the 2nd Sunday of each month using a more traditional liturgical form of worship.
  • Polka Service is once/year - usually the last Sunday in October. 

BIBLE STUDY

Adult Bible Study - Offered on Sunday morning at 10:30a.m.  Topics vary, but always aim to equip participants for life.

Men's Bible Study - Wednesday mornings 7:30 a.m. Come for coffee, donuts, great fellowship, and a chance to hear from God's Word His promises and truth. Currently working out way through the Old Testament, book by book.
