Immanuel is a community brought together by God's grace (His undeserved love) for all people.
We are a member congregation of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, guided by the ancient and timeless truth of God's Word in the Bible. Gathered around the gifts He gives us through His Son, Jesus, we are a community of faith that gets to experience and share our Lord's life-changing love by living out the mission God gives us:
Connecting people to Christ for life.
The Holy Spirit works through Word and Sacrament to daily shape us to be more like Jesus, our Rescuer. Engaging with God’s gifts in worship and study as His forgiven and redeemed people individually and as a congregation, our Lord feeds us and builds us up as his body, the Church. He gives us what we need to follow him, for life now and into the age to come.
Psalm 119; Romans 10:17; Romans 12:4-5; 1 Peter 2:4-5
With the new life that we have in Christ, our Immanuel, God-With-Us, we give and receive the forgiveness that we have through Jesus. As broken and restored sinners, we embrace one another in grace, supporting each other as family reconciled under the cross. We share God’s gifts across generations and encourage one another through the journey of life, together.
John 13:34-35; John15:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Ephesians 2:13
Jesus works through us as his hands and feet in the world, delivering his self-giving love-in-action to both our family in faith and to our neighbors in need, near and far, whenever he gives us the opportunity to do so. Each of us has something to share as we support each other and the ministry of the gospel, wisely putting to use whatever resources God has entrusted to our care.
Matthew 25:45; 1 Peter 4:10-11
Joining Jesus on his mission to deliver the rescue that he has won for us, we follow him into a world broken by sin. Unashamed of the gospel that has the power to save, we go as Christ’s ambassadors and agents of his grace in everyday life, reflecting his self-giving love in word and action so that others might experience God’s grace by the power of the Holy Spirit for this life and into eternity.
Matthew 4:19; Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 15:7
