Information about the Immanuel Endowment Fund and its purposes

The Immanuel Endowment

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God … They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. — 1 Timothy 6:17-19

The Immanuel Lutheran Church Endowment Fund has been established to support the ministry work of the Church for generations to come. Looking ahead to the future of the church and its mission, Immanuel members have both contributed to existing funds and established new funds within the Endowment.

The Endowment is a group of funds, restricted in perpetuity for specific causes, where the principal amount is kept intact.  Interest and investment income generated by these funds is available for disbursement for charitable efforts. The Endowment exists completely apart from church operating funds, offering protection from declines in revenue or from creditors which may arise from unexpected litigation.

These funds are managed by Immanuel's Endowment Committee, trustees who oversee disbursements from the Endowment according to established policy.  Funds contributed to the Endowment will always be used as near as possible to the purposes for which they were gifted.

Interested parties can also apply for grants from the Endowment by submitting a Grant Application Form found on this page.
